Marmaduke Pattle No Photo Available Victories : 34 ----------------------------- Country : South Africa Fought in : WW2 Fought for : Allied Died : 20th April 1941 Distinguished Flying Cross Bar to the Distinguished Flying Cross Born in South Africa on 3rd July 1914, Pattle joined the South African Air Force before transferring to the Royal Air Force in 1936. Flying Gladiators with No.80 Squadron, he achieved many victories in the aircraft, and also recorded victories flying Hurricanes with both 80 Squadron and 33 Squadron. Flying in North Africa and Greece, he was shot down and killed on 20th April 1941 by German Me110s. He had been awarded the DFC and Bar.
