Roy McGowan
| Squadron Leader Roy McGowan (deceased) Flying Hurricanes with No.46 Squadron, Roy McGowan was shot down on 15th September 1940. Sufferring from severe burns he was hospitalised and treated by the pioneering plastic surgeon Archie McIndoe, and was one of the founding members of the famous 'Guinea Pig Club'. |
