The Sopwith Pup In the last few months of 1916 the RNAS squadrons were equipped with Sopwith Pups and this helped in the defeat of the "Fokker Scourge" in Northern France, due to its agility and effective forward firing synchronised machine guns. The Royal Flying Corps No 66 Squadron received Sopwith Pups in early 1917.
