Helicopters in aviation art prints The Bell UH-1 Iroquois, or Huey and
Bell AH-1 Huey Cobra and super Cobra helicopters. The First
Huey designated XH-40 flew on the 22nd October 1956 and the Us army
began receiving the 6 seat Huey on the 30th June 1959 this was soon
followed by the 9 seat or 3 stretcher and an attendant and crew UH-1B in
early 1962. they came into their own during the Vietnam war
starting off as experimental armed escort helicopters. but the new model
205 with a longer fuselage and capable of carrying 14
troops.
The
Bell AH-1 Huey Cobra, sea Cobra and Super Cobra this Helicopter
was required for the US Army during the Vietnam war mainly as a Armed
escort for larger Chinook helicopters. their role soon also included the
attack Helicopter. The first version of the Huey Cobra first Flew on the
7th september 1965. and In April 1966 the first 110 AH-1G Huey Cobras
were ordered. and deliveries began in June 1967 with them being deployed
in August 1967.
