Philip Ardery | Philip Ardery Convinced that America would join the war in Europe, he applied for pilot training in the summer of 1940, performing so well he became an instructor. After Pearl Harbor, he was assigned to England as a pilot on the B-24 Liberator and took part in many of the well known missions in North Africa and Britain. He died on 26th July 2012. |
