(PC) Too late to enter service in WW2 as a replacement for the Lancaster, the Avro Lincoln found much gainful employment in the post war years and was popular with its crews. Here, Lincoln II RE301 of 214 Sqn based at RAF Upwood in Huntingdonshire returns home over the East Anglian countryside in 1950. |
